PSG are on the brink of adding wonderkid Kylian Mbappe to their ranks after reaching ‘complete agreement’ in a £163m deal for the striker.
Spanish publication Marca report that there is no turning back and the Parisians have secured Mbappe from under the nose of Real Madrid.
It is understood that both sides are exchanging documentation but the deal for one of Europe’s most exciting young talents has been finalised in principle.
Mbappe has been linked with elite clubs across the continent throughout the transfer window but has been pushed in the direction of PSG by his father.
A previous deal in place with Los Blancos has been hijacked, with PSG willing to spend whatever is necessary to lure Mbappe to the French capital.
And last season’s Ligue 1 runners-up have stolen a march on their rivals with another huge deal, following the world record £198 fee paid for Neymar.
The former Barcelona forward could now form a deadly strike partnership with Mbappe as the Nasser Al-Khelaifi owned club look to establish themselves as the most powerful side in Europe.
If the 18-year-old is to complete his impending move, it will be fascinating to see which new addition will play through the middle.
It was understood Neymar opted for Unai Emery’s side to break clear of Lionel Messi’s shadow and lead the line but whatever the line-up, a combination with Mbappe up front will undoubtedly form one of the most deadly strike forces in football.
