The National Youth Service Corps in Niger Sate has kicked out 281 fake corps members from the orientation camp.
The NYSC state’s coordinator, Mr Stephen Ehoda-adi disclosed this while speaking to journalist shortly after 2014 Batch ‘B’ orientation exercise took place in Paiko.
Stephen said the 281 fake corps members were unable to present their call-up-letters and were subsequently thrown out of the camp.
He also added that those affected actually do not have anything to show which qualified them for admission into the camp.
The State Coordinator revealed that some of those affected came up with the story of been robbed by armed robbers on their way to the camp and as a result they lost their call-up letter while some only came to the camp with photocopies of their latters, which were unacceptable.
Meanwhile 230 corps members made up of pregnant and nursing mothers were not allowed to also take part in the three week orientation exercise.
However, 3,259 corps members successfully completed their three weeks orientation in the state on Tuesday.
While declaring the crientation camp closed, the state governor, Babangida Aliyu Mua’za said despite the security situation in the country, the still remain united.
