ASUP Suspend 10 Months Strike, Polytechnics To Resume In 3-Days

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, ASUP, has finally suspended its 10 months old strike. The strike which started in October 2013 was suspended on Saturday July 12th, 2014.

 
The suspension of the strike is as a result of the meeting held by ASUP and the newly swon in Minister of Education, Mr. Ibrahim Shekarau.

Clement Chirman, who is the National Publicity Secretary of ASUP announced the suspension and also stated that the academic activities would resume in all polytechnics nationwide from July 15th, 2014.
