The Comeback kings of England, Manchester United had the shock of their lives as Norwich City beat them by 1-0. As usual the match started with the notion that ManU would have the day. But Sir Alex Fergusson made the mistake (in my own opinion) of starting Javier Hernandez; reasons because Rooney was injured. But Chicarito has always been the one who was brought in to help Man U win any time they were losing in the 2nd half. He should have just started Welbeck and brought Chicarito in the 2nd half to deliver the goals. Anthony Pilkington made sure he didn’t misuse the opportunity he had to score against ManU in the 60th Minute. Coincidentally Anthony had played for Manchester United during his youth.
Now what really happened to Man U on the day is beyond reasoning, as what happened to Chelsea losing 2-1 to Osaze Odemwingie’s West Ham, because one would argue that Chelsea doesn’t have a “Striker” right now…like most people will say Chelsea plays 10men every time they play with you know who. But Man U had the likes of RVP, Chikarito, Giggs, Evra but they just couldn’t salvage the game for Man U.
Whereas their neighbours City now sit on top of the table after handing a 5-0 bashing to Aston Villa. The Champions League week is here again and now while Man U has virtually qualified, City is staring at the door of exit, while Chelsea has a fight ahead of them cause they meet Juventus on Tuesday who are obviously in the form of their lives, hope they don’t turn out to be Chelsea’s Nemesis just as they were for Real Madrid some 4-5 seasons ago where anytime they meet Madrid was almost sure of going home.
Looking at the next group matches in the UCL, with the way City and Madrid played over the weekend, city pushing 5 past Aston Villa and Madrid scoring same though letting in 1, it would be a lovely and entertaining Clash at the Etihad this Wednesday. City will be playing for their Ego while Madrid will be playing to ensure they progress to the next round. Surely it would be an interesting time for England in Europe this week.
