Vaccinated monkeys have developed a ‘long-term’ immunity to the Ebola Virus, raising a prospect of the successful human trials, says scientists.
The experiments made by the United State National Institutes Of Health Showed immunity could last for at least 10 months, according to a report by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
The Human trial of the vaccine started last week in the U.S and will extend to UK and Africa.
A lot of experimental treatments are being considered to help contain the spread of Ebola. This includes a vaccine being developed by the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the Pharmaceutical Company GlaxoSmithKline.
