Edo State government has reportedly appointed a new Chief of Staff after the news of Mr Taiwo Akerele’s resignation surfaced.
Though Mr Osagie Crusoe, the Special Adviser to Obaseki on Media and Communication Strategy, in a statement on Friday claimed the government had not officially received Akerele’s resignation’s letter.
However, in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq on Saturday evening, Obaseki has appointed the Osaze Ethan Uzamere, the son of Senator Ehigie Uzamere as the new CoS.
The apointment takes immediate effect.
Ethan Uzamere is an investment banker, Uzamere, 38, is a graduate of Stony Brook University, New York, where he majored in Computer and Electrical Engineering.
He has had stints with Lehman Brothers and South Grade Engineering, among others.
A thorough-bred professional, he had, before his appointment, served as Executive Assistant to Governor Obaseki.
