FIFA has finally lifted the ban it placed on Nigeria after a high court sitting in Jos sacked the President of the NFF, Aminu Maigari and other board members. FIFA actually frowed at the court rulling, stated that they do not welcome the idea of government interfering in football activities. FIFA then directed a new court order reinstating Maigari and the other NFF executives be obtained before it can lift the ban.
Well, the new court order reinstating the NFF President and other officials was obtained two days ago, July 15th, hence the ban was lifted yesterday.
The NFF President, Aminu Maigari and his board will resume duties today and stay there until next month’s election when a new executive could be elected.
