A society that will only wait to see the death of her citizens before acting definitly has a problem that is beyond the president. Surely,it is systemic. When issues remain unresolved and culprits not purnished,it points to system failure. When new events only result in forgeting the old ones,it all amounts to governance by the day. The bereaved are left alone to nurse their pains while the “robbers” and “rogues” are let off the hook ones bailed. In Nigeria, we only need a new event to forget the old one while the underlying causes remain unresolved. Do you still remember the occupy Nigeria protest? The pension scadal, bloody 2015 elections, madalla,UN, Force Hq bomb blast? Even our own justice salami has been forgoten. Does any one still remember that Livy was in that Dana air crash? We are now dealing with the green chamber’s grand bribery scandal and perhapes, the executive recklessness in CBN. This way, issues will never be resolved. What a poor way to remember.
