At the weekend,President Goodluck Jonathan visited Wiesbaden, Germany to see his ailing wife and first lady, Dame Patience. The president had according to a report monitored on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) news yesterday, visited his spouse, alongside chaplain of Aso villa chapel, Venerable Obioma Onwurumba and Nigeria’s ambassador to Germany, Abdul Abubakar. Presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati while confirming Jonathan’s visit, said that he had since returned to the country on Sunday. Abati said both the visit and the video clip aired by NTA were evidence that the First Lady is hale and hearty, contrary to what people wanted Nigerians to believe. In his words, “What that video has proved is that the President’s wife is hale and hearty and she is not in bad shape like people will want Nigerians to believe. “The video has put paid to all the lies that people who play politics with almost everything have been spreading. “It was clear from that video that the scene was not an hospital scene.” The first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has been in Germany for a few weeks now, on a medical purposes.
