The Executive Governor Of Lagos State, Governor Babatunde Fashola said that some civil service ministry in Lagos state will start to work on Saturdays starting from May 3th, 2013. They will resume 10am and close 2pm every Saturday.
According to the Governor, those affected are workers in the ministry of Transport, Physical Planning and Urban Development. He said this at an event in LTV8 Blue Roof Multipurpose hall while rendering an account of his stewardship to the people of Lagos state on his 2,100 days in office.
Event which have the presence of first Military Administrator of Lagos State, Brig. Gen Mobolaji Johnson, Former Gorvernor of Lagos State, Lateef Jakande and Chief Molade Okoya-Thomas. We also have the lives of the State House of Assembly Speaker, was represented by Mr Segun Ololade.
Gorvernor Fashola has mandated the Head of Service to publish detail on how it would work and the scope of work on Saturdays, except the last Saturday of every month which is Sanitation day.
