VACANCIES

Our company is an engineering company engaged in the construction of roads, dams, irrigation structures, water treatment and distribution, hydro-power generation and distribution, building, environmental and waste management.

As part of our expansion plans we are interested in engaging highly motivated individuals to join our team. The following vacancies exist within the organization and are to be filled immediately.

1        DAM CONSTRUCTION DIVISION

POSITION:                           PROJECT MANAGER

QUALIFICATIONS:         Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with Master Degree in Irrigation and Soil or Water Engineering. Professional Certification in Project Management will be an added advantage. Applicants must have been registered with COREN and must be an active member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.

EXPERIENCE:                  Minimum of eight years’ experience in the construction of multi-purpose dam with responsibility for direct management of projects at the level of Manager, Deputy Project manager or Site Engineer.

OTHER ATTRIBUTES:       Applicants must demonstrate a good leadership quality, must be ready to meet deadline and possess good administrative qualities with passions for training and development of the members of his team.

AGE:                                Between 40 and 50 years

 

POSITION:                           SITE ENGINEERS

QUALIFICATIONS:           Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with Master Degree in Irrigation and Soil or Water Engineering. Professional Certification in Project Management will be an added advantage. Applicants must have been registered with COREN.

EXPERIENCE:                  Minimum of six years’ experience in the construction of small to medium earth dam with responsibility for direct supervision of projects at the level of Site Engineer or Deputy Project manager.

OTHER ATTRIBUTES:       Applicants must demonstrate a good leadership quality, must be ready to meet deadline and possess good administrative qualities with passions for training and development of trainee engineers.

AGE:                                Between 35 and 45 years

 

POSITION:                           QUANTITY SURVEYOR

QUALIFICATIONS:          Bachelor Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying. Successful completion of the Professional Examinations of the Chartered Institute of Quantity Surveyor will be a distinct advantage.

EXPERIENCE:                    Minimum of six years’ experience, gained in the construction industry, in the area of job costing for the purpose of certification of work done and also good working knowledge of documentations for Technical and Financial Bidding will be a distinct advantage.

OTHER ATTRIBUTES:         Applicants must be ready to meet deadline and possess good administrative qualities with passions for training and development of staff.

AGE:                               Between 35 and 45 years    

 

POSITION:                     LAND SURVEYORS

QUALIFICATIONS:           Bachelor Degree or HND in Surveying. Success at the Professional Examinations of the Chartered Institute of Surveyors will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:                  Minimum of four years’ working experience in the construction of small to medium earth dam without any supervision. The mastery of the use of survey equipment such as Total Station, and computer literacy is compulsory.

OTHER ATTRIBUTES:       Applicants must demonstrate a good leadership quality, must be ready to meet deadline and possess good administrative qualities with passions for training and development of trainee surveyors.

AGE:                                Between 30 and 40 years

 

POSITION:                           MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS

QUALIFICATIONS:           Bachelor Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering.

EXPERIENCE:                  Minimum of eight years’ practical experience in the repairs and servicing of CAT range of construction equipment, MAN, DAF, or MACK range of trucks and tippers. Applicants without a degree of Diploma but with Technical Certificate and demonstrable experience in the repairs and servicing of the above equipment may be considered. Ability to organize maintenance workshop and training of staff will be a distinct advantage.

OTHER ATTRIBUTES:       Applicants must demonstrate a good leadership quality, must be ready to meet deadline and possess good administrative qualities with passions for training and development of trainee mechanics.

AGE:                               Between 40 and 50 years

 POSITION:                           MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS

 QUALIFICATIONS:           National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance Engineering. Applicants without ND but have Technical School Certificate with apprentice training will be considered.

 EXPERIENCE:                  Minimum of Five years’ practical experience in the maintenance, repairs and servicing of CAT range of construction equipment, MAN, DAF or MACK range of truck and tippers.

OTHER ATTRIBUTES:       Applicants must be ready to meet deadline set and must demonstrate high level of commitment to work and must have passions for the job.

AGE:                               Between 28 and 40 years

 

POSITION:                           EQUIPMENT OPERATORS

QUALIFICATIONS:          Technical School Certificate in Maintenance.

EXPERIENCE:                     Minimum of Five years’ practical experience in the operations and or maintenance, repairs and servicing of CAT range of construction equipment, MAN, DAF or MACK range of truck and tippers.

POSITION:                           DRIVERS

QUALIFICATIONS:          Minimum of School Certificate

EXPERIENCE:                  Minimum of Seven years’ practical experience in driving/ maintenance operations and or repairs and servicing of cars, buses and utility vehicles

OTHER ATTRIBUTES:       Applicants must be honest, neat and be ready to work for long hours and must demonstrate high level of commitment to work and must have passions for the job.

AGE:                               Between 30 and 40 years


2          IRRIGATION DIVISION

POSITION:                           IRRIGATION ENGINEERS

QUALIFICATIONS:           Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with Master Degree in Irrigation and Soil or Water Engineering. Applicants must have been registered with COREN.

EXPERIENCE:                  Minimum of five years’ experience in the construction of irrigation structures, and sprinkler irrigation systems installations and servicing. Experience in the installations of Centre and Linear Pivot Irrigation Systems will be a distinct advantage.

OTHER ATTRIBUTES:       Applicants must be ready to meet deadline and possess good administrative qualities with passions for training and development of trainee engineers.

AGE:                                Between 30 and 40 years

 

3          HYDRO-POWER DIVISION

POSITION:                           POWER SYSTEMS ENGINEERS

QUALIFICATIONS:           Bachelor Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Management or Renewable Energy. Applicants must have been registered with COREN.

EXPERIENCE:                     Minimum of four years’ experience in the installation of Power systems such as Hydro-Power or other similar Large Power Systems.

OTHER ATTRIBUTES:       Applicants must be ready to meet deadline and possess good administrative qualities with passions for training and development of trainee engineers.

AGE:                                Between 30 and 40 years

 

4          FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION DIVISION

POSITION:                           COMPANY ACCOUNTANT

QUALIFICATIONS:           Bachelor Degree in Accountancy and membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or Chartered Association of Certified Accountants with an MBA or Membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria.

EXPERIENCE:                  Minimum of eight years’ experience in the management of Accounts of a company in the Construction Industry and or Contract Accounting system. Experience in the development and implementation of strategic planning System and Management Information Systems will be a distinct advantage.

OTHER ATTRIBUTES:       Applicants must be ready to meet deadline and possess good administrative qualities with passions for training and development of staff.

AGE:                                Between 35 and 45 years

 

POSITION:                           ACCOUNTING/AUDITING OFFICERS

QUALIFICATIONS:          Bachelor Degree in Accountancy and part qualification of the examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.

EXPERIENCE:                  Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in the construction industry in the area of contract cost and management accounting, auditing, planning, stock accounting and procurements. Experience in the development and implementation of strategic planning System and Management Information Systems will be a distinct advantage.

OTHER ATTRIBUTES:       Applicants must be ready to meet deadline and possess good administrative qualities with passions for training and development of staff.

AGE:                               Between 27 and 35 years

 

POSITION:                           PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE MANAGING DIRECTOR

QUALIFICATIONS:           Bachelor Degree or HND in Secretarial Studies or Administration. Membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria or Chartered Institute of Personnel Management will be a distinct advantage.

EXPERIENCE:                  Minimum of eight years’ experience in the organization of the office of the Managing Director and also good working knowledge of Office and Human Resources Management will be a distinct advantage.

OTHER ATTRIBUTES:       Applicants must be ready to meet deadline and possess good administrative qualities with passions for training and development of staff.

AGE:                                Between 35 and 40 years
