Belts are worn as part of a clothing and on the outside of the clothing. Dress belts were originally worn by men on trousers until both the male and female gender started wearing them as part of their clothing depending on the current fashion. In fact research has it that before the 1920s, dress belts were only used for decoration and were associated with the military particularly the officers. In modern times however, belts are worn on both male and female trousers with ladies now extending wearing of belts on gowns (eg. Breast belts) and on their legs (eg. Leg belts).
It is important that while choosing a belt to buy, the wearer should look for belt that is appropriate for his size and outfit because it will not only make him look good but will also make him feel good.
