Musdapher Bows Out as CJN

 Justice Dahiru Musdapher in his last official functions as the Chief Justice of Nigeria Friday sworn in two new Justices of the Supreme Court, Justice Musa Dantijo Mohammed and Justice Clara Ogunbiyi. Justice Musdapher urged the new justices to be guided by the constitution they have sworn to protect. At the Valedictory session held for the outgoing CJN, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Bello Adoke praised the outgoing CJN contributions to the justice system in Nigeria since he joined the bench about 44 years ago. Ahaji Abdulahi Ibrahim (SAN), who spoke on behalf of the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, also lauded the outgoing CJN for his contributions. His speech, Justice Musdapher said he has had a fulfilling career both as a lawyer and on the bench.
