Nigeria Blessing Okagbare Wins Gold In Women’s 100m Final In Glasgow

 

Blessing Okagbare won Gold in the Women’s 100m for Nigeria in the ongoing Commonwealth Games. She won in a time of 10.85 seconds in a new Games record, making her the second fastest woman of all time world 100 metres.

 
Okagbare beat Jamaica’s Veronica Campbell-Brown, Kerron Stewart and England’s Asha Philip. She is the first Nigerian winner of this title since Mary Onyali back in 1994.
