Nigeria gets First female Chief Justice

Justice Aloma Mariam Mukhtar Monday made history as the first female to hold the highest position in the nation’s judiciary when she was sworn in as the Chief Justice by President Goodluck Jonathan in a well attended ceremony at the state house. The President during the swearing in urged the new CJN to mull over the creation of special courts for terrorism and  corruption cases. She replaces Justice Dahiru Musdapher who retired Friday 13th July, after he attained the age of 70.
