Effort to achieve the Millenium Development Goal 2015, the Chinese Government handed over $12.5million newly built federal staff Hospital to its Nigeria Counterpart
The hospital with 150 bed, covers 8,000 square metres, is a product of the good relationship between the two countries.
The President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who commissioned the hospital in Abuja said the facility would serve good purpose in improving the health staus of millions of Nigerians.
The President who was represented by his Vice, Namadi Sambo, noted that the health sector is very critical to the attainment of United Nation Millenium Development Goal.
He also said the that China have a very reliable ally in Nigeria not just in health sector alone but in other aspects of human lives.
The Minister of Health, Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu also noted in his speech that the gesture had really upgraded the hospital, which used to be a colonial hospital with few prospects for survival to its present 150 bed state.
