Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has reinstated Julius Ihonvbere as the Secretary to the State Government.
The reinstatement followed the review and resolution of the issues, which led to the resignation of the SSG on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Ihonvbere’s reinstatement is with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner for Youths, Sports and Social Mobilisation, Chris Okaeben, has resigned his appointment in line with the electoral and constitutional requirements, which mandate political appointees to resign 45 days before an election.
Okaeben is the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Oredo West Constituency in the House of Assembly election holding in February 2015.
The commissioner thanked the governor for the opportunity given him to serve.
Oshiomhole, who accepted the resignation of Okaeben, thanked him for his contributions to the Edo project and wished him resounding success in the February election.
