Two Policemen Docked For Stealing N30m From Oba’s Palace



 

2 Policemen who are  providing security to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu’s palace, were yesterday, arraigned before a Lagos magistrate’s court at Igbosere for allegedly stealing N30 million.

The defendant who are standing trial before the Magistrate, are facing four major count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing.

SP Charles Odii, who is the Police prosecutor, told the court that the two committed the offence between March 2012 and March 28, 2014.



He also said the money that was stolen belong to His royal Highness, Oba Rilwan Akiolu.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Helen Omisore granted the defendant bail in the sum of N250,000 each with two major sureties each in like sum. She also adjourned the case till July 31.
