The most exciting of all matches the UEFA Champions League Day 4 matches were played Tuesday and Wednesday this week and it had every one glued to their seats starting from the Real Madrid /Borussia Dortmund match on Tuesday to the Chelsea/Shaktar Donetsk yesterday.
The way teams are playing this time around in this 2012/2013 Season shows how well teams have built up. Take a look at the Dortmund and how much trouble they gave Madrid, given Marcelo is injured, but yet they virtually gave Madrid a run for their money. The match ended in a 2 all draw, coincidentally all the matches in Group D(the group of Death) ended in a 2 all draw, thus with Manchester City sitting rather uncomfortably at the bottom with 2 points from 4 Matches. Well at this rate they may not even smell the UEFA Cup like they did last year.
Chelsea were in for a fight yester night because they had lost previously to Shaktar Donetsk in the Domba Arena back in Ukraine and had to win by all means, because it would be absurd for the defending Champions to go out in the Group Stage. Torres gave Chelsea the first goal a minute after he missed a very good chance in the first minutes of the Match (I’m sure Torres was being abused by all Chelsea fans before it was seen minutes later that he scored). But the newly discovered talent in the Brazilian Willian could not be hidden as 3 minutes after he leveled the score for Shaktar.
Oscar however scored a stunner from a good way off after the Goalie had nodded away a previous attempt at goal during Chelsea’s counter attack and by the end of the first half; Chelsea was up 2-1. Second half came and Willian again scored for Shaktar and it was a long battle between Chelsea and Shaktar on who would score the winning goal and when all hope was almost lost Nigerian Victor Moses gave the night back to Chelsea who ended up winning 3-2, so currently in the Group Chelsea sits in 1st place with 7 points and Shaktar is in 2nd with 7 points also.
The surprise of the night (well not that much of a surprise cause glimpses were seen from the previous encounter ) was Celtic winning 2-1 over Barcelona, I am pretty sure all anti-Barca peeps were happy to see them lose, even Messi’s late goal could not stop their loss. At least their unbeaten record this year has ended in the UCL. In other matches Manchester United came from a goal down to win Braga 3-1 on the night, while Bayern Munich were in flying form winning Lille 6-1 with former Chelsea player Pizarro scoring a hat trick.

Match day 5 which will be on the 20th and 21st of November,2012 will be another time for fans and lovers of the beautiful game to see their teams play and hope to win in order to qualify for the next round.
